Editorial Review for Fremont Sunday Market – by Citysearch Editors
In Short
Looking for a framed black velvet Elvis? You might find it here among the collectibles, new merchandise and just plain junk. The Market goes underground during the winter, taking up residence in the Burke Building Parking structure, a less than charming environment. But during fair weather days, there's nothing better than scouting out tables for that coveted rotary phone, vintage linens, new jewelry, tie-dye and hand-crafted pottery.

The Sunday market tradition is alive and well in Fremont in the summers, truly a place to see and be seen. It's also a great place to pick up junk, and I use that term with affection. Have you ever wanted to buy used cowboy boots? Or a manequin? Well this is the place for those of us who like to make random purchases that we may soon regret, but learn to love. It's a sprawling market with a lot of enthusiasm right on the water in Fremont - good fun, and good (or bad depending on your outlook) abound. Regardless, it's a fun way to spend a Sunday afternoon.

The marke had a very urban hippy feeling to it. Especially with vegan snack stands, incense burning and soothing music. Bring small change, not twenties the don't have much change.
