The Scene
Located just across from the marina and steps from the ferry dock, Friday Harbor's brewpub has a nautical theme and a welcoming charm. A friendly mix of kids with their parents and older folks just off the boat adds to the lively, casual appeal. Servers can--no surprise--fall behind when a large crowd pours in, but everyone's back in their cars before loading starts.
The Food
There are pizzas, ribs, seafood dishes, sandwiches and more; the extensive menu makes for quite a bit of reading. And as with most places with something-for-everyone menus, it's best to stick with the basics. Fish and chips and burgers are both fine options, though the Manhattan chowder is more a thin tomato soup than a chowder. Microbrews from the adjoining brewery include ales, lagers, stouts and seasonal varieties.

Orin, Peggy and the crew do a fabulous job. The food is great (try the clam chowder! and my favorite, the nachos), and the beer is most excellent!
