Editorial Review for Souvenir – by Citysearch Editors
In Short
The stark, minimalistic shop is a mini-museum, with blonde hardwood floors and a dramatic card display that consumes an entire wall. Sure, you can get local designer Curt Steiner's cards at boutiques throughout the city (and nationwide), but why not see the artist at work in his native habitat? Steiner's cards are unique and eccentric, "crafted but not crafty."

Insider Tips
Look GoodIf you see a card you like but want to swap out the message or the picture for another, just ask Steiner and he'll make exactly what you want.

This is a boutique whose owners passion is visible. Curt Steiners very usually shop is worth the trip to Ballard all on its own. I would suggest calling for store hours and directions before heading out, it would be easy to walk right by the shop because of the lack of marks for the shop on the street. This makes it kind of a fun secret to find. The handmade jewelry and cards are unique works of art, and Mr Steiner will be working on them when you arrive.
Pros: lovely, unique items
Cons: parking

I love to be in this store. The windows, the cases of curiosities, the greeting cards, everything in here is beautiful, each detailed item is a wonder, every piece hand picked or hand crafted. I never stop on Ballard ave without at least looking in the window.
Pros: beautiful things
