Editorial Review for Wells Fargo – by Anna Roth
In Short
This financial institution's stagecoach logo isn't just there for show--after Henry Wells and William Fargo opened the bank for Gold Rush prospectors in San Francisco, they wre integral players in a stagecoach network that stretched across the West. Today, the bank has locations across the country and offers personal and business checking, savings and investment accounts and credit cards. Wells Fargo also helps its patrons with home mortgage, insurance, loans and consumer finance.

My wife and I used to notarize our signatures at this branch all the time. Because the people were so friendly and helpful, we were considering opening an account with them for HELOC...Until two days ago they told my wife that now they only notarize for their customers. ("Tradition" started by BofA a couple of months ago.) This is probably a great way to decrease the work load for their notary... and a greate marketing tool to push potential customers somewhere else. I already told my friends to avoid this bank.... All our accounts will continue to stay with a local credit union.
Pros: good location
Cons: bad service
