Editorial Review for Cowgirls – by Scott Resch
The Scene
Think "Coyote Ugly": the New York bar made famous in the Hollywood movie of same name is just what Cowgirls Inc. is going for. The all-babe bar staff works the tri-level configuration in shifts. While one set roams the floor with holsters of liquor and buckets of beer, the other performs provocative dance routines on the bar. The audience is mostly male, and the hard-rock tunes are always loud.
The Draw
Formerly the Seahawks' team store, Cowgirls Inc. maintains a somewhat sporting atmosphere. Fans of competition are roped in by the pool tables and video games in the back right corner. Patrons with more giddy-up choose to saddle up; the saloon's centerpiece is a mechanical bull, which cover-paying customers can ride once for free. The menu tries to score with fried-food fans and meat lovers, but ultimately fails to satisfy. Even seemingly simple items, such as the mozzarella sticks and mini-cheeseburgers, tend to be undercooked.

Cowgirls is probably great if you're on a date with a trashy girl trying to be hip or so drunk that it is your best chance at seeing extra cleavage. Some of the previous positive reviews are obviously from the staff and should be discounted. The random girls on the bar have the same vacant look as strippers without the follow through. The bouncers have never been rude to me personally but they act like they are itching for confrontation. I work across the street and they look at anyone walking by like they are going to be trouble. Even though it is advertised as a fun loving trashy joint, the early evening bartenders act like they are to good for it.
Pros: Close enough to Pioneer Square to be hip...
Cons: ... but it is not

I hate Portland but at least there are bars where you can watch the game while being surrounded by half clothed girls. You can also skip the drive by just going to the U District if you want to go to a frat party. The girls have gotten so much attention for dancing around that they think they are pretty enough to have bad attitudes. When going to the bar I recommend saying the following: "I'm not flirting I just want a beer"
