I set up a lunch event for my co-workers recently at Fin n Bone. We had sixteen people on a slow Monday lunch. Overall, I would say that for how fancy the restaurant is, the service is that of a pub. First of all, I reserved the private room because we were to have a private meeting. We were not put in the room that was requested. The room was vacant and the server told us that they were saving it for the evening. I was pretty disappointed, my boss was expecting a quiet room. Our drinks were brought promptly, when ordering half of our party was disappointed to find out that the kitchen was out of fish and chips. One person in our party was brought the wrong dish and the server argued with her in front of the whole party insisting on the fact that she ordered the wrong dish instead of getting her what she actually ordered. My co-worker felt embarrassed and was brought what she actually ordered when everyone was done eating. There were no apologies from the staff, just attitude. The food was good, a lot of people enjoyed their dishes and were very pleased. When dessert was brought there was a hair in the bottom of a brownie, and the key lime pie smelled like fish from being stored in a cooler with fish.. not very smart. I don't like to be a negative Nancy when it comes to restaurant reviews, but if a place says that they are high scale and you pay the price of a high scale restaurant, high scale service, availability of food, and quality of food is expected. Being a server in my past work experience, I got the impression that because 18% gratuity was added, that the server really was not too concerned with our service, but how much the bill came to and how big her tip was. Overall, I don't think that we will be making reservations in the future for our meetings.

Pros: Great Seafood, wine selection

Cons: Poor service, poor availibility of common seafood dishes

I dined at Fin N Bone with a friend a while ago and the customer service was terrible. Our waitress completely ignored us, never refilled our water or drinks because she was busy chatting with some other customers for 20 minutes at a time. I had rice as a side dish and it looked like it had been reheated from before. The food was expensive given it was not that great and you can get a better deal somewhere else. I would definitely not recommend this for special occasions because of the lack of customer service.

Pros: Poor customer service, food not fresh.
