I used this Merry Maids branch twice. The first time the cleaning was so subpar, I had to ask them to return. The kitchen counters were not cleaned, the bathroom mirrors had streaks, the baseboards weren't cleaned, areas weren't dusted, etc... these are details, but then again, that's what you pay them for. What bothered me the most was the utter lack of effort to replace things in their original spots after the cleaners dusted. I had to go around the house and move things back in place. After I complained, they returned to re-clean and it was somewhat better and I decided to use them again. The second time, the cleaning again was marginal and for some reason they locked the garage-house door and I was locked out of my own house until my husband arrived with a house key. I wrote the manager an email regarding my complaints and stated that unless they could confirm that cleaning would improve, I could no longer use Merry Maids. I never received response. I guess they don't care about keeping business.
Pros: Licensed, bonded, bring their own supplies
Cons: Poor cleaning, little attention to detail, poor customer service

There's a reason Merry Maids is cheaper than the other "above-board" cleaning services. Their staff was consistently late (by up to 45 minutes), cleaned haphazardly and gave me attitude when I asked them to touch things up. Management was unable to remedy our repeated complaints and didn't even reply when I notified them that we wouldn't be needing their services any longer. I finally fired them when I realized I was dreading "cleaning day" when I should have been wallowing in the indulgence. The Redmond office serves our area, so that's the only franchise I have worked with. The others in the area may be different.
Pros: It's affordable, insured and legal
Cons: They're late, they don't clean thoroughly and management doesn't care
