It's obvious the people who dog bumbershoot are ignorant. Bumbershoot is about experiencing non-mainstream artists of ever venue. Bumbershoot is the musical equivalent of Seattle's Independant Flim Festival. There's hardly any other event that offers literally ever kind of musical experience in one weekend. If you're looking for a mainstream event, you should look up Summerjam and Endfest (which put Lalapalooza out of business I might ad).

Pros: Ticket price, Timing, Variety of perfomers
